Two dead after deer crashes through car window

— Two adults were killed and two children injured in an accident Thursday caused by a deer that was initially hit by another vehicle, authorities said.

Glenn Johnson, 59, and Margaret Johnson, 61, were pronounced dead at the scene of the wreck on Arkansas 27 in Nashville.

Arkansas State Police say Glenn Johnson was driving a 2006 Chevrolet north on the highway just before 7:30 a.m. when an "airborne deer" that had been hit by another vehicle came crashing through the window.

The Chevrolet veered out of control and hit a building.

A 10-year-old boy and an 8-year-old boy in the vehicle were taken to the hospital with unspecified injuries. According to a preliminary report, at least one of them was moved to Arkansas Children's Hospital in Little Rock.

Glenn and Margaret Johnson, both of Nashville, were the 457th and 458th people to die in traffic accidents in Arkansas so far this year.
