— Police in Little Rock say a woman was found shot to death in a city street.

Sgt. Cassandra Davis says a motorist driving home about 3 a.m. Saturday called police after seeing the body in the street about one mile west of the University of Arkansas-Little Rock campus, 38th and Katherine.

"[Officers] found 33-year-old Lacrisha Foot deceased in the roadway from a gunshot wound," Davis said in a statement.

Davis declined to say where she had been shot. Davis said detectives are trying to determine if the woman was killed where she was found of if she was shot at another location and her body taken to the street where she was found.

Deshaun Scott, 32, husband of Foot, was charged with first degree murder, Davis said in a statement.
