Arkansas moves forward on health overhaul

By The Associated Press

This article was published November 11, 2012 at 1:19 p.m.

— Arkansas officials said the state is moving forward with implementing parts of the federal health care law after an election that provided clarity on the federal level — but uncertainty in the state Legislature about the political future of the controversial legislation.

President Barack Obama’s re-election Tuesday came in the same election where Republicans won control of both chambers of the state Legislature — based in part on opposition to the president’s federal health care overhaul.

Gov. Mike Beebe’s office said he plans to formally tell the Obama administration this week that the state plans on partnering with the federal government on a health insurance exchange. The move comes as lawmakers face a debate next year on whether to expand Medicaid under the health care law.

When I was in the 2010 Arkansas Governor race. I pointed out a way for all Arkansans to have free health care, the only thing was simple all 1.686 million tax payers would only pay $20 a month and $20 for each household member. Funny thing is they wouldn't hear what I was saying. It didn't make money for the interior. Just another political hoopla

The election is over and the rightwing lies continue ....
.
FACTS:
1. Obamacare is "insurance reform".
2. The "health insurance exchange" is "private sector" insurance companies that will compete for your business to drive the premiums down.
3. Arkansas should have already set up their own exchange but the republicans wanted the federal government to do it.
4. No state can nullify or opt-out of Obamacare! The U S Constitution's Supremacy Clause explicitly states that federal law is the "supreme Law of the Land".
5. The U S Supreme court has ruled!

Listen to the rignt wing nuts cry in their soup.

This is a perfectly clear picture of why the republicans lost and will continue down the path of irrelevance into oblivion. The unwillingness to comprise, it's our way or the highway mentality. The independents finally realized you all have gotten totaly off your meds.
