— St. Edward Catholic Church was the setting at 6 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 3, for the marriage of Ashley Mica Zimmer and Chadwick Martin Edwards. The Rev. Jason Tyler of St. Edward officiated.

Parents of the bride are Robin and Michael Zimmer of Roland. Her grandparents are Ivan Joseph Zimmer, the late Marian Zimmer, and the late Loyene and A.R. Wilson of Camden.

The groom is the son of Mary and Rick Edwards, 79 Robinwood. He is the grandson of Imelda Whitbey of Morrilton, the late William J. Whitbey, Geneva Edwards of North Little Rock and the late J.J. Edwards.

The chancel held two large floral arrangements of cream colored gladioli, ivory roses, calla lilies and Fuji chrysanthemums and assorted greenery. Large vases of roses were placed on the side altars in memory of the couple’s deceased grandparents. Music was by organist Phillip Quick.

The bride, given in marriage by her father and her son Adam, wore a strapless ivory gown of douppioni silk with a pleated sweetheart bodice and a full circular skirt with a chapel-length train. On the waist of her dress was a gold heirloom “love” pin that was left to her by her maternal grandmother.

She carried a nosegay of ivory roses, miniature calla lilies and hypericum berries.

Aubrey Harton of Little Rock was her sister’s matron of honor. She wore a gown of plum-colored chiffon. Junior bridesmaid was Olivia Edwards of Little Rock, daughter of the groom. She wore a sleeveless ivory satin gown with a full tulle skirt and plum colored sash. They both carried bouquets of ivory roses, purple calla lilies and hypericum berries.

Best man was Bryce Edwards of Little Rock, the groom’s son. Adam Zimmer of Little Rock, son of the bride, was the groomsman. Guests were seated by Jay Harton and Scott Spradling, both of Little Rock, and Scott Mayes of Sherwood and Michael Mayes of North Little Rock, cousins of the groom.

A reception at the Terry House followed the ceremony. The buffet table held two large arrangements of ivory gladioli, calla lilies and roses in tall glass vases. Music was by the Everyday Life Band from Paragould.

The bride has a bachelor’s degree in economics and accounting from Hendrix College in Conway and a juris doctorate from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock William H. Bowen School of Law. She has a master’s of law in taxation from Washington University School of Law in St. Louis and is a lawyer with Jack Nelson Jones & Bryant, P.A.

The groom has an associate degree in engineering and drafting from ITT Technical College in Little Rock and is project design manager for Triple S Alarm in Little Rock.

After a wedding trip to Mexico, the couple will live in Little Rock.
