Pulitzer winner to speak at Philander Smith

Washington Post Pulitzer Prize-winning columnist Eugene Robinson will speak on the Philander Smith College campus Tuesday night as a part of the college's Bless the Mic series.

He will speak at 7 p.m. in the M.L. Harris Auditorium, 900 W. Daisy Gatson Bates Drive in Little Rock, and no tickets or reservations are required, the college said.

Robinson is an associate editor and twice-weekly columnist for The Washington Post.

In his career with the Post, Robinson has been a city hall reporter; city editor; foreign correspondent in London and Buenos Aires, Argentina; foreign editor and assistant managing editor in charge of the paper's Style section.

He has written Coal to Cream: A Black Man's Journey Beyond Color to an Affirmation of Race; Last Dance in Havana; and Disintegration: The Splintering of Black America.
