LITTLE ROCK A North Little Rock woman was killed Sunday after the car she was driving hit an embankment and overturned amid heavy rains, police said.
Kelsey A. Goode, 28, was driving a Pontiac Grand Am south on Interstate 540 in Crawford County when it left the road and hit an embankment about 5 miles north of Chester, according to a preliminary Arkansas State Police report.
Police say the Grand Am then struck the embankment and overturned. The report notes that the wreck happened during "heavy rains" in the area, though it didn't say whether the wet road caused the crash.
Goode was pronounced dead at the scene shortly after the 11:36 a.m. wreck.

I was at the scene of this wreck. There were probably a dozen of us trying to get the car door off to get her out of the car, where she was pinned upside down. Very sad.
