— The Central Arkansas Veterans Healthcare System, in collaboration with the Arkansas Arts Center, is holding an exhibition this week to celebrate the artwork of veterans.

The exhibition will be in the Arkansas Arts Center's Terry House Community Gallery at noon Friday. The museum is at 501 E. 9th St. in Little Rock.

The veterans health-care system said the artwork includes drawings and photographs produced by veterans from across the state.

"Art provides veterans an additional communication tool critical to the process for connecting to the community and feeling a sense of belonging," Marie Mesidor, Veterans-4-Veterans program director, said in a statement.
