Laven out as Travelers manager

Former Arkansas Travelers General Manager Pete Laven during a press conference at Dickey Stephens Park in 2009.
Pete Laven is no longer general manager of the Arkansas Travelers minor-league baseball team, a spokesman said Tuesday.
Phil Elson also confirmed that David Kay, assistant general manager of the team, is also out.
No interim managers have yet been named, and Elson could not confirm whether a search committee would be put into place.
No reason was given for the departures.
