LITTLE ROCK A Beebe native has again advanced on the popular NBC singing competition The Voice, landing in the top 10 after results announced Tuesday night.
Cody Belew and 11 other contestants performed in a live show Monday, and viewers then voted for their favorite singer online and by phone. In a live program Tuesday night, it was revealed at the end of the show that Belew was one of the top 10 vote-getters, assuring him a place in the competition for another week. Two singers were eliminated.
"I would like to give a standing ovation to ALL OF YOU who kept me in this thing for another week!" Belew wrote in his Twitter account early Wednesday. "I COULD NOT have done it without you. YES!"
Belew on Monday sang Tina Turner's "The Best," drawing praise from the show's celebrity judges.
