Best teams in Little Rock, Memphis to play in 'Battle of the Border'

— The best players in both the Little Rock and Memphis areas will play for bragging rights in the second annual Battle of the Border on Dec. 1.

The event will be held at Little Rock Hall High School and will feature a five-game slate, with five Pulaski County teams taking on five from the Memphis area.

The first game of the day will feature Little Rock McClellan against Memphis Lausanne at 1:30 p.m. At 3 p.m., Jacksonville will play Memphis Olive Branch while the 4:30 p.m. game will pit Little Rock Parkview against Memphis Hamilton against one another.

The 6 p.m. game will be North Little Rock versus Memphis East, while the featured game of the day will be at 8:30 p.m. and pit Hall against Memphis White Station.

A total of 14 Division I recruits will play in the five games, includings Arkansas commitment Bobby Portis of Hall and Chris Chiozza and Davell Roby, both Arkansas targets from Memphis White Station.
