Accused of NLR skillet assault, man held

— A North Little Rock man is accused of striking another man with a skillet during an altercation Wednesday night in the house where both reside.

Christopher Glassco, 31, is facing a preliminary charge of second-degree domestic battery in the incident, which police say happened about 9:45 p.m. at 711 Water St.

According to an arrest report, officers arrived to find the victim, Rudolph Hill, bleeding from the head while lying on the living room floor.

Glassco, who was reportedly using a towel to apply pressure to Hill's wound, told investigators it all started when Hill pulled out a knife while arguing with Glassco's mother. It wasn't clear what prompted the argument. Glassco said he asked Hill why he needed the knife and was told it was for protection, the report states.

Police say Hill and Glassco then began arguing. But, according to the report, Glassco claimed he then banged his head against the wall, blacked out and didn't remember anything until police arrived.

His mother provided a different account: She told police that her son did hit Hill in the head with a skillet, causing a cut on his right eye, swelling and damage to the eye, the report said.

Police say they found the skillet with blood on it and noted that Glassco had blood on his T-shirt, pants, shoes and knuckles.

Hill was taken to UAMS Medical Center in Little Rock for treatment. No update on his condition was immediately known.

Glassco was taken to the Pulaski County jail, where he remained without bail pending an initial court appearance later Thursday morning.
