Weekend Theater: 'The show must go on!'

Raft of the Medusa showings moved

Little Rock's Weekend Theater initially canceled its final showings of Raft of the Medusa by Joe Pintauro for Friday and Saturday after a car plowed through the theater front on Nov. 7. But now, the theater says the show must go on.

In a news release late Thursday afternoon, the theater announced it would move this weekend's performances to the Quapaw United Methodist Church, 1600 S. Louisiana Street, in downtown Little Rock. Both Friday's and Saturday's showings are at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $16 for general admission and $12 for students and seniors age 65 and older, according to the theater's website.

A spokesman told the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette Wednesday that the theater expects to open its next production, S.E. Hinton’s The Outsiders, on schedule Nov. 30.
