He is retired from Canteen Corp. They are the parents of Pam Hays of Little Rock and Peggy Mills of Hot Springs Village. The couple have two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
HEBER SPRINGS — Myrna and Thomas Shaw have celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. The couple were married Oct. 26, 1962. She is the former Myrna Goodfellow and retired from Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church. He is retired from St. Vincent Infirmary. They are the parents of Patrick Shaw of Washington; James Shaw of Roland; and Angela Shaw Mahairi of Little Rock. The couple have four grandchildren.
CABOT — Marion and Ed Greathouse celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Saturday at the Bill and Margaret Clark Multipurpose Room in the River Market’s Ottenheimer Market Hall at a buffet luncheon with family and friends. The couple were married Nov. 22, 1962. She is the former Marion Benson and a retired elementary school teacher. He is a retired Veterans Affairs supervisor. They are the parents of Michelle Gramling of Springdale and Heather Strickland and Eddie Greathouse, both of Cabot. The couple have seven grandchildren.
MAGNOLIA — Vonda and James Dees have celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. The couple were married Nov. 3, 1962. She is the former Vonda Taylor and retired from Southern Arkansas University’s nursing department. He served in the Air Force and is retired from Jordan Brothers Dealership. They are the parents of Michael Dees of Mineral Springs and Randy Dees of Magnolia. The couple have six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Jo Ann and Jim Butler of North Little Rock celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. The couple were married Nov. 9, 1962. She is the former Jo Ann Venetta and retired. He is owner of Butler Surveying. They are the parents of Leslie Himstedt, Scott Butler and Lauren Butler, all also of North Little Rock. The couple have two grandchildren.
