Cindy Michaels and Tony Consiglio, news co-anchors for Maine’s WVII, announced on the air that they were quitting, later telling the Bangor Daily News that they were frustrated with management and cited a dispute over journalistic practices, while Mike Palmer, station vice president and general manager, said he wasn’t surprised by the pair’s actions because “sometimes people leave before they’re officially told to leave.”
