CHALK TALK UALR will play two games in Mexico this weekend coming off a pair of home victories. The Trojans will play either South Carolina or Missouri State on Sunday in the tournament while looking for their first victory away from the Jack Stephens Center. SMU is coached by Basketball Hall of Famer Larry Brown, who took over the Mustangs after last coaching the NBA’s Charlotte Bobcats in 2008-2010.

CHALK TALK UALR will face another top scorer today, three days after holding Oral Roberts’ Kevi Luper nine points below her season average in a victory Wednesday. Today, the Trojans will be forced to slow down junior forward Jessica Kuster, who was named All-Conference USA first team last year and was tabbed the league’s preseason Player of the Year this year. In a victory Tuesday over Texas State, she scored 26 points and had 19 rebounds.

CHALK TALK Central Arkansas will look to rebound from a 73-72 loss to Arkansas State on Wednesday, when the Bears blew a 72-65 lead with 2:37 remaining. Sacramento State, which beat the Bears 75-54 last season, is off to its best start in 12 seasons and won at Pacific-12 member Utah 74-71 on Nov. 16.
