— Jennie Larraine Diaz and Manuel Anthony Warrior Jr., who goes by Tony, were united in marriage at 4 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 17, at an outdoor ceremony at Park on the River in Maumelle. The Rev. Harry Bates of New Life Church in North Little Rock officiated.

The bride is the daughter of Cindy and retired Master Sgt. David Roussin of Cabot and Melinda and Raul Diaz of Blytheville. She is the granddaughter of Nellie and Raul Diaz and the late Georgette and William Irwin, all of Las Cruces, N.M.

The groom is the son of Elizabeth and Manuel Warrior of Maumelle and the grandson of Linda and Terrence Patrick Bass III and Carolyn and Raymond Browning, all of North Little Rock, and the late Lucille and Manuel Warrior of Sapulpa, Okla.

The bride’s father and brothers built a bamboo canopy for the couple to stand under during the ceremony. It was decorated with red and fuchsia roses and white lilies. Music was by guitarist Brandon Grable.

Given in marriage by her father and stepfather, the bride wore a soft white Aline gown with tiered organza skirt. The strapless ruched bodice was embellished with pearl beading and a floral detail. She carried two dozen red and fuchsia roses with Acapulco lilies.

Maid of honor was Jessica Higgins of Goldsboro, N.C. She wore a fuchsia satin cocktail dress. Attending the bride were her brothers Adrian John Diaz of Cabot and Aric Lee Diaz of Sherwood; and her sister, Caitlin Louise Diaz of Blytheville.

The father of the groom was best man. Attending the groom were Necon Andrew Warrior, his brother, and Watasha Nichole Warrior, sister of the groom, both of Maumelle; Terrence Patrick Bass of North Little Rock, uncle of the groom; and Thomas Longacre of Tulsa, cousin of the groom.

The women attendants wore apple red dresses and carried smaller versions of the bridal bouquet.

A reception at Park on the River followed the ceremony. Arrangements of red and fuchsia wedding flowers decorated the guest tables.

The bride graduated with honors and a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Arkansas State University at Jonesboro, where she was a member of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing. She is pursuing a master’s degree in nursing with a secondary degree in education at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock. She is a member of the clinical faculty at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock College of Nursing and a registered nurse working in the UAMS intensive care unit.

The groom received a registered nurse diploma from the Baptist Health School of Nursing and graduated with honors with a bachelor’s degree in nursing from UALR, where he was a member of Phi Kappa Phi International Honor Society and Sigma Theta Tau. He is pursuing a master’s degree in nurse anesthesia. He is working as a student registered nurse anesthetist.

The couple will live in Maumelle and plan a December wedding trip to Park City, Utah.
