— Authorities in Little Rock are investigating after a man was shot during a robbery attempt early Monday morning.

Little Rock Police Department Sgt. Cassandra Davis said it happened about 6 a.m. as 43-year-old Luis Morales was leaving his residence at 9709 W. Base Line Road.

According to a report, the assailant approached Morales' car, broke the glass out with a rifle and demanded his wallet.

Davis said Morales was handing the robber the wallet when the man opened fire, striking Morales once in the arm. Police recovered five apparent SKS shell cases at the scene.

Morales' injuries were not believed to be life-threatening. He was transported to UAMS Medical Center in Little Rock.

The gunman is described as a black man about 18 years old, 6 feet tall and 160 pounds. He was wearing a brown sweater and dark pants.

The man reportedly fled toward nearby Stone Crest Apartments.

Victim handing over his wallet and the dude shoots him? Guy needs to do two things: Turn himself in and watch more robbery shows on TV so he knows how it works. Take the money and run.

Unfortunately, this kind of cold blooded/psychopathic behavior is escalating where robbers shoot after they get the money.

They're only shooting after they get the money, because they are too lazy to even do that little bit of work of shooting first and then searching for the cash. They are "entitled"......

Not only have liberal social policies created a destructive culture of entitlements that is now manifesting itself in crime, illiteracy, and status quo poverty but after many decades of full bore abortion human life has been de-valued to the point where shooting a stranger is no more wrong than sucking an unborn child from its mother's womb. And this IS NOT about race. Sadly, however, the entitlement culture is uniquitious within many segments of the black community with the logical and predictable outcomes of increased crime, reduced educational performance, and poverty as the acceptable norm. Even sadder is the way demorat politicians cultivate the entitlement mentality within the black community for no better reason than maintain political by using other people's money (taxpayers) to buy votes (government funded entitlement programs). Can you say President Obama........

It unfortunately IS about race and poverty. And I used to be a fervent supporter of Civil Rights in the 60s and 70s. These guys aren't collecting Social Security, or Medicaid, they are robbing and killing. And Obama and "liberals" have nothing to do with it. American black society has deteriorated to the point that it is unsustainable.
