LITTLE ROCK — A family from the Our House shelter in Little Rock will be featured in a special segment on NBC’s Rock Center with Brian Williams on Thursday at 9 p.m. The segment will be on the new face of homelessness in America, according to a shelter news release.
NBC reporter Ann Curry came to Our House - a shelter for the working homeless - to interview the mother of two children and tour the campus at 302 E. Roosevelt Road. Curry also interviewed another Our House family that will be shown in an online segment.
Our House Executive Director Georgia Mjartan said in the news release that the network chose Our House as a model for helping the working homeless.
“Working with a national network has been an incredible experience, and we are excited to share our story with a much larger audience,” Mjartan said in the news release.
