LITTLE ROCK The Saline County sheriff's office says offenders wanted on nonviolent warrants can avoid arrest and jail time as part of an amnesty program.
Officials say those wanted on nonviolent warrants can go to the sheriff's office, pay a warrant fee and receive a court date.
"This will allow those people to be home during the holidays without the fear of being picked up," Sheriff Bruce Pennington said in a statement.
The program begins Saturday and continues through Dec. 21. More information is available by calling the sheriff's office warrants division at (501) 303-5644.
