Amnesty offered on some warrants

— The Saline County sheriff’s office is offering amnesty for people named in nonviolent warrants starting Saturday and lasting through Dec. 21, a Wednesday news release said.

During this time, anyone named in a Saline County sheriff’s warrant on a nonviolent offense can pay a fee and receive a court date. This will allow those people to be home during the holidays without the fear of being picked up, the news release said.

More information is available in the Saline County warrants division at (501) 303-5644.
