Terrance Mays, 20, was held in the St. Francis County jail in lieu of $750,000 bond, Forrest City Police Chief Edward P. Reynolds said. Mays was also charged with three counts of attempted capital murder and one count of firstdegree battery.

Mays is accused of fatally shooting Dominique Tobar, 20, on Monday morning. Police found Tobar’s body in a pickup at Park Drive and South Washington Street.

Tobar had been shot several times, Reynolds said.

The chief said that although an arrest was made, the investigation into the shooting is continuing.

“This senseless crime is even made worse for the families by happening during the holiday season,” Reynolds said in a released statement. “Our thoughts and prayers go out to them.”

Reynolds asked that anyone with information about the case call the Forrest City Police Department Crimestoppers at (870) 261-1499 or the department’s Criminal Investigation Division at (870) 633-3434.
