LITTLE ROCK — A homeless man died Tuesday after a vehicle entering an interstate struck him in Saline County, according to a preliminary crash report.
Joseph L. Ballard, 72, was walking on the westbound Interstate 30 on-ramp near Fair Play Road at the time of the accident, state police said.
At 7:35 p.m., Ballard was walking in the left lane about a foot inside the white line, when the right, front end of a westbound 2001 GMC struck him, state police said.
Rachel Gaddy, 21, of Benton, who drove the vehicle, was uninjured, the report said.
