Power-line work to shut Interstate 30 lanes

LITTLE ROCK — Entergy Arkansas Inc. crews installing new power lines will require temporary lane closings Sunday on Interstate 30 in Benton, the Arkansas Highway and Transportation Department said.

The work, at the Saline River just east of Exit 114, will require Entergy crews to pull power lines across the traffic lanes on I-30. All lanes in each direction will be closed for 15-minute intervals beginning at 8:30 a.m., weather permitting.

Crews anticipate having to close the lanes a total of three times throughout the day, the department said. Arkansas State Police troopers will be on location to coordinate traffic.
