LITTLE ROCK — BASEBALL 4 Hogs among Baseball America top 100
Four Arkansas players are listed on Baseball America’s top 100 college prospects for the 2013 major-league draft.
Junior right-hander Ryne Stanek was ranked as the No. 3 prospect, junior right-hander Colby Suggs was No. 16, junior right-hander Barrett Astin was No. 65 and junior infielder Dominic Ficociello was No. 74.
Stanek was 8-4 record with a 2.82 ERA in 17 games last season. He appeared in 30 games, all in relief, and finished 7-1 with a 1.38 ERA.
Astin pitched in a team-high 32 games last season, 29 out of the bullpen, and went 3-5 with a team-high 11 saves and a 1.99 ERA.
Ficociello started 67 games during the 2012 season and hit .290 with 6 home runs and 41 RBI.
