Travelers name interim general manager

— The Arkansas Travelers announced the restructuring of the organization's front office on Tuesday.

Paul Allen, former assistant general manager, has assumed the title of interim general manager while the Travelers' executive committee searches for the next general manager, the organization said.

Allen has been a full-time staff member for the Travelers for six years. He began his career in baseball with the team as a stadium operations intern during the 2005 season at Ray Winder Field in Little Rock, the organization said.

After spending one season with the Birmingham Barons as an event planner, Allen returned to the Travelers for the first season at Dickey-Stephens Park in 2007 as the club's director of group sales.

Allen was named assistant general manager before the 2010 season and has been involved in corporate sales, team travel planning and special events at Dickey-Stephens Park.

Other recent hires for the organization include Leslie Baker as director of community relations and Jeff Daley, Ben Harrington and Eric Schrader as account executives.
