Work on Ninth Street in LR spurs new restrictions
This article was published November 30, 2012 at 9:30 a.m.
Construction on a project extending Ninth Street in Little Rock near the Bill and Hillary Clinton National Airport will create new restrictions beginning next week, officials said.
The city of Little Rock said the work will close East Sixth Street and Picron Street east of Corning Avenue beginning Monday. Ninth Street is also closed between Corning and Conner Avenue.
Signs will direct drivers to detour south on Corning, west on 10th Street and north on Conner to Ninth Street.
The restrictions will remain in place until the construction work is completed in June, the city said.
The project includes reconstruction of Ninth Street, making it a four-lane road, and other streets in the area.
