— Wedding vows were exchanged by Ashley Christina Wiedower and William Richard Hobbs at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 29, in Our Lady of the Holy Souls Catholic Church. Monsignor Lawrence Frederick officiated.

Parents of the bride are Kim and Paul Wiedower, 50 Alsace Court. Her grandparents are Doloris and the late Otto Wiedower of Little Rock, Buddy and JoAnn Hancock of Hot Springs Village and the late Christine Hancock of Little Rock.

Grace and Bill Hobbs of North Little Rock are the parents of the groom. He is the grandson of Amy and the late Tuan Ku Hsu of Cupertino, Calif., and the late Dorothy and Dick Hobbs of North Little Rock.

On each side of the altar were arrangements of lilies, gladioli, roses and stock with cascading sprengeri fern. Music was by organist Marian Lee, cousin of the groom, and vocalist Jennifer Hui Fullerton.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a chapel-length strapless gown with a ruched sweetheart bodice and beaded belt. She carried calla lilies, dendrobium orchids, lavender roses and stock.

Maid of honor was Whitney Tharp of Little Rock. Bridesmaids were Audrey Bearden of Kansas City, Mo.; Suvish Melanta of Toronto; Tanya Pereira of Le Mars, Iowa; and Julie Williams of Little Rock. They wore plum-colored charmeuse dresses in different styles and carried nosegays of orchids, roses and stock.

Flower girls were Jordan Lee of North Little Rock, cousin of the bride, and Sophie Chen of Chicago. Ring bearer was Brandon Hu, of Davenport, Iowa, cousin of the groom.

James Gassaway of Fayetteville was best man. Groomsmen were Jon Clark of Pittsburgh; Chris Fettes of Little Rock; and Chris Serven of Charlotte, N.C.

A reception in the church’s Allen Center followed the ceremony. Tables covered with white and plum cloths were centered with arrangements of purple dendrobium orchids. Music was by the Ted Ludwig Trio.

The bride received a bachelor’s degree in biological engineering from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville, where she was a member of Alpha Delta Pi. She is a district engineer at the Arkansas Department of Health.

The groom studied in England at the London School of Economics and graduated summa cum laude from the University of Arkansas with a bachelor’s degree in accounting and finance. He is an associate in mergers and acquisitions with Stephens Inc.

The couple will make their home in North Little Rock after a wedding trip to San Francisco and Napa, Calif.
