— Candice Annie Abele and George Benjamin Cole were united in marriage at 6 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 29, at Christ Episcopal Church. The Rev. Scott Walters officiated.

Parents of the bride are Debra Roberts and Michael Abele of North Little Rock and the late Beatrice C. Abele. Her grandparents are the late May and Cortland Peter Abele of Cedarberg, Wis., and the late Raymonde and Charles Champelauvier of Paris.

The groom is the son of Marjorie and George W. Cole of Oklahoma City. He is the grandson of the late Gertrude and Lambertus Bouws of Holland, Mich., and Ethel and Alva Cole of Weatherford, Okla.

The altar held two arrangements of blue delphinium, hydrangeas and white calla lilies. Music was by organist Steve Bullock.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a white gown of eyelash lace and beading over tulle, with a halter neckline. She carried a bouquet of hydrangeas, roses, ranunculus and freesia.

Bridesmaids were Elena Reyes Lovins of Sherwood and Jennifer Harp Gomez of Little Rock. They wore strapless chiffon gowns of horizon blue and carried bouquets of hydrangeas, roses, ranunculus, freesia and berries.

Paul Cole of Houston served as his brother’s best man. Groomsman was Kevin Haggard of Oklahoma City.

Guests were seated by Christopher Abele of Atlanta, brother of the bride, and Robert Reedy of Little Rock.

A reception at the Capital Hotel followed the ceremony. Guest table sheld silver urns of blue hydrangeas, white roses, white ranunculus, blue delphinium, blue thistle, freesia and green berries. The buffet also held a large silver urn of wedding flowers.

The bride attended Hendrix College in Conway, where she received a bachelor’s degree in economics and a master’s degree in accountancy. She is a certified public accountant with EGP PLLC, Certified Public Accountants and Consultants.

The groom is a graduate of the University of Oklahoma at Norman, and holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting. He is vice president of information technology with Windstream Communications.

The couple will reside in Little Rock after a honeymoon in St. Lucia.
