Pharmacy Tech graduate receives Doctor of Pharmacy

— Mandy Young of Judsonia, a 2006 pharmacy technician graduate of Arkansas State University-Beebe, has received a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Harding University and is completing a hospital residency at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro.

Young began her pre-pharmacy classes at ASU-Searcy in 2004, the same year she was completing her degree in math at Harding. Nearly two years later, Young received her pharmacy technician certificate and went on to graduate from the College of Pharmacy at Harding in May. Young has been named to the dean’s list, is the winner of the AphA-ASP Counseling Competition and was the Harding College of Pharmacy team alternate for the ACCP Clinical Challenge.

The Pharmacy Technician Program is held on the campus of ASU-Searcy, a technical campus of ASU-Beebe, and provides hands-on training in pharmacy operations.
