Tai chi classes to begin Oct. 22

— The White County Cooperative Extension Service, University of Arkansas, Division of Agriculture, will offer an eight-week beginning tai chi course, starting Oct. 22.

Classes will meet at 11 a.m. Monday, Wednesday and Friday through Dec. 14 at the White County Medical Center Annex, formerly the Carder Buick dealership, at Hartsfield and Hawkins drives in Searcy.

The cost of the class is $20. No special equipment is necessary for tai chi, just comfortable clothing. Tai chi may be performed barefoot, in comfortable socks or in sneakers.

Enrollment is limited. Enrollment forms are available at the Extension Service office, 411 N. Spruce St. in Searcy, or by calling (501) 268-5394.
