LITTLE ROCK — Lane closures will be in effect through Friday on Shackleford Road in Little Rock while crews prepare to re-asphalt the road.
Little Rock's Public Works Department said delays are expected on Shackleford from Kanis Road south to Interstate 430.
Construction crews will be milling the surface to prepare to apply new asphalt. The work is part of a sales-tax-funded street-resurfacing program.
"Every effort will be made to maintain the flow of traffic around the construction equipment, but due to the amount of traffic, some delays can be expected,” the city said in a statement.
After the milling is complete, the resurfacing will occur "as soon as practical," the city said.
