LITTLE ROCK — A driver was killed Wednesday after his tractor-trailer hit a tree and overturned in North Little Rock, authorities said.
Police say Ronald Tate, 53, of Little Rock was driving on the ramp from Interstate 440 east to Interstate 40 when he lost control of the vehicle. The truck then hit a tree and rolled onto its side, according to a preliminary Arkansas State Police report.
Tate was dead at the scene.
The single-vehicle wreck happened about 4:40 p.m. as rain fell in the area.
