JOPLIN, Mo. — An Arkansas company says it will invest $14 million in a new storage and distribution center in Joplin.
The center announced by Don’s Cold Storage, based in Rogers, is expected to create 52 new jobs. It’s the first storage center outside Arkansas for the company.
Missouri Gov. Jay Nixon helped break ground on the new 150,000 square-foot building Thursday.
Don’s Cold Storage provides warehouse and transportation services to several industries in the U.S. It also exports products around the world.
Nixon's office said in a news release that the company could be eligible for economic incentives from the state if it meets certain criteria.
