HARRISBURG — Prosecuting Attorney Scott Ellington filed formal charges of capital murder and aggravated burglary Friday against a Jonesboro man in the slayings of a Trumann couple.
John Anthony Arnoult, 28, remained held without bail Friday in the Poinsett County jail.
He is accused in the killings of Constance “Connie”Cole, 56, and John Poff, 57, in Poff ’s mobile home on Viva Drive in Trumann.
A trailer-park maintenance man found the bodies the afternoon of Sept. 2, when he checked the residence after neighbors reported hearing gunshots earlier that day.
Ellington has not yet determined whether he will seek the death penalty in the case, adding that the investigation is continuing.
