Teen accused in school shooting plot

— An eastern Missouri teenager is facing charges for allegedly making threats that forced three schools to go on lockdown.

KSDK-TV reports that 17-year-old Blaine Michael Erp of Troy is charged with making terrorist threats. He is free on bond. An attorney for Erp did not return a phone message seeking comment Friday.

Authorities say Erp showed his girlfriend three loaded handguns and an assault rifle. He then reportedly said he planned to kill his family and shoot specific students at Troy-Buchanan High School. Troy is about 60 miles north of St. Louis.

Erp’s girlfriend went to school resource officers on Wednesday, and they contacted police. The high school and two other schools were placed on lockdown. They were back in session Thursday.
