Forrest City homicide suspect arrested

Forrest City police have arrested a man accused in a 2009 murder case.

The Forrest City police department said in a news release that it extradited 46-year-old Theodis Hill Tuesday from the Southeast Correctional Center in Charleston, Mo., where he was serving a 2010 sentence for second-degree murder and armed criminal activity.

Hill now faces charges of capital murder and abuse of a corpse in the Sept. 22, 2009 murder of a Forrest City resident, 40-year-old Marissa Lowe, the release states. Previous news reports state that Lowe died from strangulation and was found on the side of the road by a utility worker.

Hill is scheduled to be arraigned on Wednesday.
