Federal unit at Forrest City getting new warden

By The Associated Press

This article was published September 28, 2012 at 6:55 a.m.

— The Federal Correctional Complex at Forrest City is getting a new warden.

Anthony Haynes of Jessup, Ga., is to take over in November for T.C. Outlaw, who is retiring after running the lockup for five years.

The Times-Herald reported that Interim Warden John Fox made the announcement Wednesday.

Fox will return to duty in Beaumont, Texas, once Haynes arrives.

The prison has had some high-profile inmates, including rap performer T.I., who was released last September. T.I., whose real name is Clifford Harris, did two stints at the prison. One was for a firearms charge and the second was for violating his probation.
