Two men arrested as police investigate Hillcrest burglaries

Two men have been arrested in an investigation into burglaries in and around Little Rock's Hillcrest neighborhood in recent days.

Police records show Bryant Anthony Billings, 40, and Phillip Hatton, 33, were both arrested on warrants Wednesday at Rose Street and Lee Avenue. Both men were charged with residential burglary and theft of property on Wednesday afternoon in connection with an incident on March 28 at 518 North Valentine Street, according to a release from the Little Rock Police Department.

Officials also stated that Hatton was also charged with theft by receiving after being found in possession of a stolen credit card.

LRPD spokesman Sgt. Cassandra Davis said Billings is also charged with a Monday break-in at 4809 N. Lookout St.

That burglary was one of six on the day that resulted in nearly $37,000 of stolen or damaged goods.

Davis said only that Billings was developed as a suspect "based on information received by detectives." She added the investigation is continuing to "determine if there will be any additional arrests or charges."
