Brandon Uriah Terrell, 25, of Searcy, was receiving treatment at the White County Medical Center emergency room about 11:54 a.m. when he attempted to escape, Bill Higginbotham, spokesman for White County sheriff's office, said in an e-mail Friday.

While in the restroom, Terrell blocked the door and climbed into the ceiling, Higginbotham said. Terrell was captured after he fell from the ceiling onto a nurse's desk.

Higginbotham said Terrell was brought to the White County jail Tuesday and held on charges of: failure to appear, a nine-day commitment with no bond and a contempt of court warrant. The sheriff's office has added a third-degree escape charge with a $1,000 bond.
