A Sebastian County man was arrested Monday morning on accusations he possessed child pornography.
Attorney General Dustin McDaniel said in a statement that 29-year-old Joshua David Peters was arrested at his home in Lavaca on four counts of distributing, possessing or viewing matter depicting sexually explicit conduct involving a child.
“Our Cyber Crimes Unit is committed to investigating and arresting those in our state that are suspected of using the Internet to prey upon our children,” McDaniel said in a statement.
The statement said Peters acknowledged being in possession of child pornography during a search of his home. Four laptops, a phone and other electronic evidence were seized during the search.
Peters was booked into the Sebastian County jail.
