Woman accused of pulling knife, hitting husband with bat

A Little Rock woman was arrested Sunday afternoon after she pulled a knife on her husband and then struck his arm with a bat, causing a fracture, police said.

Tonya Denise Huff, 41, is facing charges of aggravated assault on a family member and second-degree battery in the incident, which happened about 4:40 p.m. in the couple's home on West Windsor Drive.

According to a Little Rock Police Department report, Huff and her husband, 42-year-old William Burris, were arguing when it "turned physical."

Huff first pulled a knife, touched it to her husband's chest and threatened to kill him before striking his right forearm with the bat, the report said.

Huff was booked into the Pulaski County jail, where she remained Monday morning with no bail yet set.
