Robbery suspect charged in hotel hold-up

A man charged in a pair of robberies earlier this year has also been charged with the hold-up of a Little Rock hotel.

Arrest records show Mario Hammonds, 27, was served warrants Monday for aggravated robbery and theft of property in the Jan. 30 armed robbery of the Comfort Inn at 4301 E. Roosevelt Road.

According to the report, Hammonds entered the hotel, placed a gun to the clerk's head and demanded cash. Police say Hammonds was later picked as the robber from a photo lineup, which led to the warrants being issued.

Hammonds had previously been charged in the Jan. 31 robbery of the Dunkin Donuts at 6805 Cantrell Road and the Jan. 30 robbery of the Shell Superstop at 7400 Cantrell Road.
