Officers responded to a report of shots fired about 8:12 a.m. at 15th and Bishop streets, Little Rock police spokesman Sgt. Cassandra Davis said in a news release.

Davis said police searched the area but found nothing.

A security official at Forest Heights Middle School said he was told by four students arriving at school that a shot had been fired at their bus stop at 15th and Abigail streets, according to Davis.

Officers searched the area and found one 9mm shell casing.

Davis said officers located the suspect walking near the area and found the black, semiautomatic handgun used in the incident at the home of another minor, who was neither charged nor involved in the incident.

The 15-year-old suspect was charged with aggravated assault, four counts of terroristic threatening and possession of a firearm on school property, Davis said. No injuries were reported.
