Trial delay granted in Russellville death

RUSSELLVILLE — A judge has granted a trial delay for defendants charged in a Russellville slaying.

Trial for Ashley Ojeda, Detaryus Henderson and Leondre "Mooky" Gould was to have begun May 13. Circuit Judge William Pearson pushed the start date to July 30.

The men are charged in the death of 26-year-old Randal Boykin last year.

Authorities say the theft of more than 6 pounds of marijuana played a role in the death.

The Russellville Courier reports another defendant has been convicted of robbery in the case, but the jury hung on a murder charge.
