Arkansas Gov. Mike Beebe is traveling to Michigan to speak at a forum on leadership.
Beebe's office said the governor planned to speak Wednesday at the Michigan Leadership Forum hosted by Governing Magazine. Beebe spokesman Matt DeCample said the magazine was paying for Beebe's flight and hotel to speak at the conference.
Beebe planned to leave Tuesday for the conference and return Wednesday.
Beebe was named a Public Official of the Year by the magazine in 2011.
Other speakers at the forum include Michigan Gov. Rick Snyder.
