Police: Grandfather shot after argument with grandson

Authorities are investigating a shooting that occurred Wednesday afternoon in Little Rock.

Officers were called to Baptist Medical Center's emergency room at 1:30 p.m., where a man had been admitted with at least one gunshot wound to his upper torso, according to a statement from Little Rock Police Department spokesman Sgt. Cassandra Davis.

The victim told police that his grandson shot him after a verbal altercation at 1905 Michael Drive.

No names, ages or motive have been determined at this time, Davis said. No arrests have been made, and the investigation is ongoing. The victim's condition was not immediately known.
