'American Idol' audition bus to stop in Little Rock

The popular television singing contest American Idol is sending its audition bus to Little Rock on Saturday, the city has said.

The stop is the first on a five-city "American Idol Audition Bus Tour," aimed at recruiting competitors for the reality program's 13th season. The bus, which will be park at the Clinton Presidential Library, 1200 President Clinton Ave. from about 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., also plans stops in Oxford, Miss., on Monday; Tuscaloosa, Ala., on Aug. 21; Knoxville, Tenn., on Aug. 23; and Winston-Salem, N.C., on Aug. 26.

Past winners include Conway native Kris Allen, who took the top prize in the show's eighth season.
