A North Little Rock man was arrested early Wednesday after he retrieved a knife and threatened to stab his brother during an argument, police said.
Laron Lavert Lewis, 25, is facing a charge of first-degree assault on a family or household member.
Police say Lewis and his brother were arguing about 2 a.m. at Lewis' home in the 2000 block of West 16th Street when the brother went outside to his car.
Lewis then retrieved a knife from the kitchen, went outside and told his brother "I"m gonna stab you," according to a North Little Rock Police Department report.
Police say the brother thought Lewis was going to use the knife on him and that Lewis "recklessly created a risk of serious physical injury" through the act.
Lewis remained in the Pulaski County jail later Wednesday morning with bail not yet set. A preliminary court appearance is scheduled for Thursday morning.
