Man accused of firing gun into air during argument

A Jacksonville man fired multiple times into the air Wednesday afternoon during an argument with a man outside a Pulaski County home, authorities said.

Dallas Penn, 26, is being held in the Pulaski County jail on charges including aggravated assault and possession of a firearm by certain persons.

Penn went to a home on Jelce Road outside North Little Rock before 4:45 p.m. and got into an argument with the resident, according to a Pulaski County sheriff's office arrest report.

Penn then pulled out a handgun and fired several times into the air, the report said. No one was injured.

Police located Penn about a mile away in a vehicle at the intersection of Bethany Road and Edmonds Street. A handgun was found inside the vehicle.
