Oxford American publisher Warwick Sabin said Thursday afternoon he will end his duties at the end of the month for a new position at the helm of a nonprofit organization.
Sabin will begin his position starting Sept. 1 as executive director at the Arkansas Regional Innovation Hub, a group promoting entrepreneurial development in central Arkansas, according to a news release.
Sabin, who also serves as a state House representative for District 33, told Arkansas Online he would "definitely continue serving in that capacity."
He added that he decided to leave the Oxford American after seeing an "opportunity to help bring a regional approach to developing an entrepreneurial economy in central Arkansas."
"I've been a big fan of what's gone on in Northwest Arkansas with what they've done to create a regional approach there," he said. "I think central Arkansas has a potential to create something like that. This is a great professional and personal opportunity."
